Allen Ginsberg Photobooth 1948

Allen Ginsberg ca 1948. Note on back reads "One of Bill Garver's overcoats, 1947-48, 50s,52, 53?"  Allen clearly wasn't sure exactly when it was from. Bill Garver was a drug connection friend of Herbert Huncke and William Burroughs, who made a living stealing coats from customers in restaurants.

“Rainy night on Union Square, full moon. Want more poems? Wait till I'm dead. August 8, 1990 3:30 AM”
