Peter had gotten such cold reception from Burroughs during this visit, and his friendship with Corso had so deteriorated, that he had to leave and travel on his own. At the time it was unclear where if at all he and Allen would rejoin. They eventually did in Israel, but not till November of that year and with some degree of uncertainty.
